press to exit project space continues its focus of developing the three main programs: Visiting Curatorial Initiative, New Project Productions and Lectures, Presentations and Exhibitions which are exploring ways of generating ideas, projects and collaborations with artists and curators form Macedonia, Europe and beyond. Parallel to the main programs press to exit project space is developing a Publishing Program focusing on antistatic and curatorial research projects.

press to exit project space was established in September 2004 by Yane Calovski (founder and artistic director) and Hristina Ivanoska (founder and program adviser) as a special program-based artist initiative for research and production in the field of visual arts and curatorial practices. The project received a mandate (from November 2004 until December 2008) from the Swiss Cultural Programme (SCP) in South East Europe and Ukraine to undertake a critical examination and evaluation of the questions raised by contemporary artists, curators, architects and theorists in Macedonia, the Balkan region and beyond, in relation to contemporary society and the practice of art.

press to exit project space is run jointly by Yane Calovski and Hristina Ivanoska.
