Alasdair Gray, born Glasgow 1934, produces fiction, theatre, criticism of politics and literature and in visual art mural painting, illustration and book design.

His first novel Lanark, written as both autobiography and socialist science fiction, was developed over a period of 30 years and is a landmark in English language literature; he is the leading figure in the creation of a contemporary Scottish imagination. This, his first audio collection on vinyl, spans his career and includes poem, short story and song read by the author. The sleeve artworks are from his personal archive, and are classic examples of his visionary illustration. Language: English
